Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards Update
The MEES Regulations are intended to promote energy efficiency by reference to the energy performance certificate rating of a property. Subject to certain exemptions, property owners cannot grant a tenancy of properties that have an EPC rating of F or G.
New restrictions are coming into effect from 1 April 2023. In advance of that date, please join the Dilapidations Association for an update and a consideration of future developments.
Our four speakers will address the following:
- Legal changes from 1 April 2023 and those planned for 2027 onwards.
- Efforts to date to enforce the MEES Regulations.
- The impact of MEES, EPC ratings and energy efficiency on property valuations in the current market and following the proposed future changes to the rules.
- The effect of the MEES Regulations on the dilapidations claims, including issues of supersession and how to address MEES issues when preparing a terminal schedule.
- Changes to EPC assessments, which may result in dramatic increases or decreases to a property’s rating.
This event will be in person and online
Members can attend for free. Non members will be charged £30. Please book your places below using the correct category.
